After months of planning, writing and recording, "Independence", the debut album from Frantic Jack is nearing completion. This week marks the final stages of the process as the lads return to Jam Studio's in Kells to finish what they have been working towards for the past 18months.

When the group formed back in February of '09 the idea of putting together an album was at the forefront of everything the band did. After releasing a demo E.P back in September the band had tested the waters with some of the tracks and then committed to the idea of working on a debut record. 

The track listing has so far been kept under wraps for the most part, but it has been confirmed that the album will contain the two hit single's, Firefly and Free. Along with a whole host of brand new material never heard before. With influential engineer and producer Martin Quinn once again working with the band there is a very sure driving mood behind this record. 

When asked about the feel of the album so far the lads were very optimistic about things "We've worked with Martin a lot and we certainly believe in if its not broke don't fix it. The album has so far exceeded everything we hoped for and has really brought out more of the rock and funk influences that we've grown up with. We feel that we've also replicated the acoustic feel that we use in a lot of our live shows" 

Any more details will have to wait until July 23rd when the record hits music shelves all over the country. Everything is nearing completion and the culmination of a year and half's work is coming to a head. With tons of festivals and live shows soon to be announced thing are getting pretty exciting around this place! Hang on for the ride.
